Hello Hikers! I wanted to share an update for this event. We are canceling the “official” hike. We encourage you to get out and hike on your own with social distance in mind. However, Barbara and I will be providing a digital hike for those who are interested in getting some information about the wildflowers that are out right now. I hope to post a video, pictures, and information tomorrow evening so that you can enjoy a hike on Saturday with some wildflower knowledge! Walk along scarcely traveled country roads to view an exceptional variety of spring wildflowers as they bloom from late March to late April. Hikes will be scheduled to ensure that the greatest variety of flowers can be seen.
The FIRST hike will be March 28th, 2020. **However, the date may change due to early or late-blooming or inclement weather. Check the event posting for updated information before traveling to the site.
Participants should meet at 1 PM at Liberty First Christian Church in Liberty, KY. Hikers will meet in the parking lot and carpool a short distance to the trail.
The hike is free and sponsored by Casey County Explorers.
